The Global Educator Book
The Global Educator Leveraging Technology for Collaborative Learning and Teaching is the book we used throughout this class. This book defines the characteristics of global educators, explores technology, describes global connected learning and its impacts, challengers and enablers. It is also about the growth of global leadership and how it has changed over time. This book also explains how to guide educators to use new technology. It also describes and gives great examples of leadership. One great thing about this book is that it provides activities, resources and organizations one can use when making learning global.

Global Project
Global projects are projects that break down the walls of the classroom. They give students the opportunity to learn b connecting to people all across the world.
This project allows students to connect with other students around the globe to discuss how their schools differ. The students will be split into teams with at least one student from each country on the team. Each team member will be responsible for answering and researching set questions about schools in their country. . The students will share information regarding statistics, their daily routines, the school system structure, and Technology integration. They will communicate and gather information in WikiSpaces. After gathering all the information, they will publish their findings onto a Weebly website to share with the other teams as well as other people around the world. The goal of the project is for the students to be able to see schools around the globe. The students should connect with global students to get a first hand account of schools from the students who are participating in the project. We want the students to form global relationships and awareness. Students need to be able to notice and appreciate how education differs around the world.
Global Educators
Each week we completed Global Educator Case Studies. The case studies were about Global Educators telling their stories of how they got where they are and how they hope education will change. One thing I liked about the case studies is that I felt like I was learning about global education on a more personal level. Being able to hear personal stories about how they got where they are or how they contributed to global education is inspiring. Below is one of my case study summaries.
