21st Century Skills
21st century skills refers to a broad set of knowledge, skills, work habits and character traits that are believed-by educators, school reformers, college propfessors, employers and others- to be critically important to succeed in today's world. 21st century skills can be implemented in all supject areas and in all settings throughout life. Education today is beginning to plan with 21st century skills in mind. Schools implementing 21st century skills in the class can potentially change the future world. The students will come out of school with a wider skill set and a more creative mind.

Constructivism
In constructivism, learning is active, reflective, inquiry based, collaborative, and evolving. In a constructivist classroom students are constructing knowledge and understanding. The focus is on the students and their thinking more than the actual lesson. In a constructivist classroom questions are key, there is guided problem solving, process is as important as product, group work and collaboration, respect for multiple intelligence.

Flipped Classroom

The flipped classroom is when teachers provide video lectures for the students to watch at home prior to class. When the students get to class the teacher spends time on excersices, projects and or discussions. So basically what is done in the classroom is done at home are reversed.

Partnering Pedagogies
Inquiry-Based LearningInquiry Based Learning is based around an esstential question, problem or scenerio. The students will be proposed a question, problem and/or scenario to explore and research. This means the teacher no longer present estabished facts but instead guide the students as they discover information on a topic.

Project-Based LearningProject-based learning is a teaching approach that engages students by allowing them to collaborate to investigate real-world problems. While investigating a problem they organize projects to create prototypes of a sulotion to the problem. The students learn content area when going through the steps of project-based learning.

Problem-Based LearningProblem-Based Learning or PBL is a student-centered pedagogy where students work with classmates to solve complex and authenic probems that help develop content knowledge as well as problem-solving, reasoning, communication, and self-assessment skills.

Teaching Digital Natives: Partnering for Real Learning
Teching Digital Natives by Marc Prensky is a great book about partnering. It gives ideas, tips, and opinions on partnering in education. It talks about how to transform a traditional classroom to a partnering classroom as well as ways to implement and improve partnering throughout the school year.
